Il Mugello is the home of the Medici family. It lies at the entrance to Florence and offers first-class artistic and cultural heritage. There are a wealth of events throughout the year rich in culinary tradition and folklore and not forgetting that there are sports facilities for fans of many different disciplines sport on land, in water or in the air.

Tour Itinerary:

• Day 1: Race Day - This is a sporty day where you will go to the Mugello Circuit to watch the racing followed by a typical lunch with foods and wine from the surrounding territory.
• Day 2: Culture & Art - A visit to ‘Scarperia’. Today’s itinerary is filled with both culture and art. Browse in the local workshops at Artisan’s at work making knives and others with foodstuffs and wines.
• Day 3: Castles & Countryside - Leave for San Piero a Sieve where you will be able to admire the Fortress ‘La Fortezza Medicea di San Martino’ as you walk around it’s old surrounding walls. From here cross the wonderful countryside finishing at the top of a hill at Trebbio Castle. From Trebbio  return to Barberino di Mugello to visit the ‘Villa di Cafaggiolo’, surrounded by hills and fields that run down to the River Sieve. Here, near to the Villa, also visit the wonderful Convent ‘Convento di Bosco di Frati’.
• Day 4: Shopping & Ceramics - First of all, a visit to Barberino Outlet for some shopping time. This is followed by a delicious typical lunch. You will then be taken to ‘Borgo San Lorenzo’ where you will visit the hamlet and Villa Pecori Giraldo which is the home to the Liberty collection of ceramics in the Manufacturer’s Museum of ‘Chini’.
• Day 5: In the Country - A country day with a visit to a Dairy where you will be captivated by the entire cheese making process.
• Day 6: Horse Riding - A morning gentle horse ride through the magnificent woods, lunch and then an afternoon dedicated to relaxation with on a Beauty Farm with a massage using Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
• Day 7: Vintage Train - A steam train excursion through the small hamlets of Mugello. Lunch will be in a local place with typical local produce.
