It’s the birthplace of Saint Francis. A walking tour which starts at the top of Assisi with is fabulous panoramic views over the surrounding countryside and works its way down to the centre at the Basilica of St Francis for a tour inside this wonderful church.

We will start out walking tour at the top of Assisi and walk down towards the centre. We will pass San Rufino, Piazza del Popolo, Minverva’s Temple and finish at the Basilica of St Francis. The guide will await you as you enter inside for a tour with headphones. Afterwards the tour will continue down through the city to meet the driver.

You will be taken for lunch in a small organic wine shop which is family run. You will enjoy eating some delicious typical Umbrian products with pulses and cooked meats, with their exceptional wine.

You will see: St Francis Church, Town Square, Minerva’s Temple, the new Church, the Oratory of St Francis, St Chiara’s church and St Rufino’s church.
