A wonderful ½ day walking tour of the hilltop town of Cortona. You’ll discover the principle monuments of the town including the hill top panoramic view which cannot be missed.  A tour where you will learn about this quaint Etruscan town.

Your guide will reveal Cortona in its entire splendor – its beauty and its history. There are many picturesque views of the many narrow and steep side streets as well as wonderful panoramas from the city’s walls overlooking the countryside as far as Lake Trasimeno. You’ll see the fabulous Town Hall and its main square, Cortona’s cathedral, the Sanctuary of Santa Margherita, some of the many churches based in Cortona and many craft shops and studios. Lunch will be in a small restaurant with local Tuscan products.

Optional Extra €20: Tickets can be included to visit the magnificent MAEC museum of Etruscans with its unique collections and the Diocesan Museum which collects some of the most valuable works of religious art from Cortona and its territory. Both are worth the extra time to visit either on this day or for a later date.

Good walking shoes needed as Cortona has hilly and winding streets.
