Olive Picking-Pressing-Bottling

If you want to really get into the culture of the region, why not enjoy a full day out at the olive mill. You’ll be picking the olives with your own bare hands, then enjoy watching the process from raw olive to being bottled into delicious velvety olive oil. Lunch is included for your hard work!
We start with an early rise to arrive at the olive mill for 8.30am, where you will meet with the workers from the farm. They will light a fire and hand out the “outui” (baskets) and your work clothes.
You will start your morning of picking olives from the trees and the ground.
After a good morning’s work you will have wonderful, well earned, lunch among the Olive trees with delicious typical Umbrian products.
In the afternoon you will leave for the olive mill where you will watch the oil making process from crushing, to making paste to bottling the final product.
At the end of the day you get to taste the freshly made oil with bruschetta. At 6pm you will return home.
This tour is only available from the end of October to the end of November during the olive season.
