chococolumnThe festival includes over 150 manufacturers of chocolate from Italy and around the world. There are plenty of stalls for you to try and find some very different flavours. Chilli, Pepper, Salt, Absinthe, Cherry, Liquorice……… you’ll find something that you’ll fall in love with I promise.

  • ‘Chocoworld’ hosts all countries that are cocoa-producing to join us for this spectacular festival and how us their produce: Indonesia, Columbia, Peru, Equador, Mexico and many more. This year in the spotlist as our STAR cocoa-producing country is Venezuela, where in fact it all began many years ago.
  • ‘Chocolate Sculptures’ – on October 18th it’s the actual festival of Sculpture of Chocolate. You will be amazed by this art form which is the most-loved by Eurochocolate Visitors. There are 5 enormous blocks of Perugina dark chocolate being sculptured into outstanding forms. Come along and see for yourself.
  • ‘Chocofarm’ a return of chocofarm once again for this wonderful and exciting ‘spa’ area dedicated to chocolate based body treatments. Here you can join in with some treatments with qualified professional staff.
  • ‘Chocolate with authors’ Daily meetings where you can take some time to relax as you listen to readings of literature whilst tasting chocolate, sounds surreal, come along to listen and taste.
  • ‘Praline Rocca’ a lovely location where you can taste the refined and luxury chocolate being developed by handmade chocolatieres.
  • ‘Cocoa of Excellence’ gives us a chance to see many different types of cocoa bean and decide which really are the best ones; tasty, flavoursome or smooth, the list goes on.
  • ‘Chocoday’ school presentations, where teachers in schools have been busy with students learning about chocolate, its ingredients and health benefits – the competition is called “Chocolaty Label” and will be judged during the festival.
  • ‘Equochocolate’ is the support of chocolate/cocoa which is given the “fair trade” certificates, it’s your chance to support these suppliers buy purchasing their goods which are certificated.

Come and join us for a relaxing stay in: a Villa with swimming pool in the Umbria countryside, a town house or apartment in the hilltop town of Cortona, Tuscany. We have plenty of properties to choose from.

At around 40 minutes away from Cortona we’ll book your train tickets for you to visit Perugia on whatever day, or days, you wish.
